A LITTLE CHRISTMAS SPARKLE ….

It is that time of year when we dig out the trusty little black dress, add some sequins to our wardrobe and maybe become slightly more adventurous with our outfits.  Party season is upon us and if you are anything like me you will be having trouble deciding what to wear for each occasion. Not everybody loves full on sequins and there is so much choice both on the High St and online it can becoming slightly overwhelming. I have put together an edit of a few of my favourites pieces. I have to say it was very difficult making the selection as I love so much from the High street as well as top end investment pieces! Stay away from the handbags Jane!

I have actually tried to stick with black, gold and silver. A kind of theme I suppose!  Really just to make the selection easier! Sparkle can be added with accessories in the form of a handbag, shoes or a scarf. Sequin knitwear is a great Christmas daytime look as well as a jumpsuit with gold or silver heels and maybe a statement bag. To add a bit of a fun, I love the Marks and Spencer clutches below. I am a huge fan of maxi and midi dresses. I think they offer a timeless classic look and midi’s are so flattering on everyone. I hope there is something for everyone here and it helps you pick something special

This is the dress I wore in my recent post and above, I love it! . As it is slightly shorter (I am normally a midi dress girl) I like the fact that it has a high neckline and long sleeves. I think the expression is ‘less is more’…I’m not sure that I would feel confident with the length if it had shorter sleeves or a plunging neckline but that is just my personal opinion

This amazing jumpsuit was kindly sent to me recently. I can’t rave about it enough! An alternative to the party dress it is the most flattering cut and gorgeous navy velvet which again makes a lovely change

Great Plains have a great new party collection with some classic pieces, evening dresses, silk shirts and statement trousers. They recently asked if I would be interested in choosing some items from the new collection so obviously I jumped at the chance as it is a brand that I love. I chose the lace top jumpsuit and the navy sequin top below due to the versatility of both. The jumpsuit I would also wear with trainers and the sequin top looks amazing dressed down with ripped jeans

Onjenu is one of my favourites brands available online and in a number of independent boutiques. I have a number of Onjenu dresses and jumpsuits, they are flattering, easy to wear and simple. This off the shoulder top is on my list!

I adore this midi dress from LK Bennett. Black and gold with the most flattering and comfortable velvet sandals (I have them and can highly recommend)  A dress for all occasions, not just for Christmas!
