Summer loving …

Hello I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine, it certainly makes these strange times easier doesn’t it Yesterday I was talking to a gorgeous resort wear brand about their new SS20 collection so I thought I would put a post together of a few of my favourite small brands that I have worn over the years. I really wanted to include jewellery because I think this is a big part of resort wear and certainly when I am away I stack up the bracelets! I will leave that for another time. If you follow me on Instagram you may be aware of most of these fab brands but I always think its great to document them on the blog too. All links will take…

Happy home additions ..

Happy home additions ..

Hello.. This week I thought I would talk about a few really simple things that are making me happy during this crazy time. As you probably know we built our house about 6 years ago and had recently decided to look for our next big project. I started saving ideas and pictures into ‘House Files” and was getting really excited to take on the Project Manager role again! I do love a hard hat!! Like so many things this is currently on hold so we have been looking to change a few things around the house. Jamie and I have fairly similar tastes when it comes to Interiors but he really has no interest at all in a cushion or a candle!! This week… View Post

Lockdown life!

***This blog post contains some affiliate links*** Hello…. It has been a while. Where shall I begin?… Everything seems so very surreal at the moment and I have to admit I have woken up a few mornings wondering if this all a dream. Like everyone we have our good and bad days here. Jamie has been working from home for about six weeks now and tends to use the whole house as his office! Very much someone that walks around whilst on the phone… It has been so lovely having him here. The kids love his cooking (far far better than me) and he does help around the house most days.. The children as you know are teenagers so things are very different on… View Post

Dress for the occasion!

**Some affiliate links have been used in this post ** Hello everyone I hope you are all well I was recently invited to preview the new By Invitation Collection at Hobbs London The collection was inspired by the gardens at Kenwood House and is hand painted floral prints and luxurious silks. To be honest I haven’t shopped in Hobbs for years. When I worked in the city I bought suits and sensible court shoes from there but they had most definitely gone from my radar. As you know I like to make purchases that are versatile. Clothes that can be worn on more than one occasion and dressed up and down. How often do we hear that on Instagram!! I am aware that this… View Post

Our little darlings!

** Some affiliate links have been used in this post ** I presume if you clicked through to read this post you are blessed with a teenage girl around the same age as Alice. Alice at 14 is taller than me with a very slim frame and a definite passion for fashion! She attends a strict Catholic girls school where they measure the girls skirts and are very much ‘old school’ in their thinking. So how would I describe what she likes and how she dresses… I think I am fortunate that she doesn’t particularly wear make up, isn’t into crop tops and I guess I would describe her as a young 14. She doesn’t like dresses that are too figure hugging, she loves a… View Post

Pink to make the boys wink!

Hello! Happy New Year! My first blog post of the year… I have lots of ideas and am currently working on a Travel post after our recent trip to Thailand. I had such a lovely response after I did a write up on Marrakesh I will now make it a regular thing. I think the hardest thing for me are the photograph’s. While we were away at Christmas I actually made a conscious effort not to involve the family in my little Part time role that is the blog and Instagram! We just needed that family time without chasing pictures!  I would really love to mix things up and keep things interesting so you may see some random blogs from time to time on here! … View Post
Suns out, legs out!

Suns out, legs out!

You may have seen that on Sunday that we went along to the Love Supreme Festival at Glynde Place. Jamie loves Jazz and we try to go along every year if we can. We even went just as he started his chemotherapy three years ago, he is that dedicated! ..Love Supreme is over three days always at this time of the year. The atmosphere is fantastic and there is so much on offer for everyone. We did spend quite a bit of time in the Champagne and Oyster bus! A beautiful converted bus with tables upstairs that gives you an amazing view of the stage! Very handy…We always stay in Lewes at a lovely hotel called Pelham House but thousands of people camp… View Post
