Instagram can be such an amazing place for small and new businesses, for making friends, raising your profile, earning income and doing what you love. It can also play with your mind…. A slightly more personal post today but something I guess I really wanted to share. A couple of weeks ago I was approached by the Editor of a Regional newspaper  The Times and So Magazines. I was asked if I would be involved in their relaunch issue where they were to feature various local bloggers and businesses. My first thought was wow, why me? There are other local people going great guns on Instagram and my blog has only really been live for a year. I then thought about some of the negativity I had received a while back from local people and it made it all the more scary. Why would I put myself out there? Hello! Happy New Year! My first blog post of the year… I have lots of ideas and am currently working on a Travel post after our recent trip to Thailand. I had such a lovely response after I did a write up on Marrakesh I will now make it a regular thing. I think the hardest thing for me are the photograph’s. While we were away at Christmas I actually made a conscious effort not to involve the family in my little Part time role that is the blog and Instagram! Back in February I was invited to an event held  at Fenwick hosted by Pixi Beauty’s Global Director of Make up Amanda Bell. I of course  had heard of Pixi but had never actually tried any of their skincare or make up. Pixi was set up 10 years ago by Petra Strand who has over 20 years experience as a make up artist and product developer. The brand is vegan friendly and is not tested on animals..
