Party at Home!

Hello… Happy Nearly Christmas!…. Well I think this Christmas is going to be very different all round. I can’t believe it was a year ago that we were on our way to Thailand… Whether you are able to eat out, have family with you or just enjoying a quiet time some of us still love to dress up! I will be making an effort even though our large family Christmas is slightly smaller this year. I will still get up and ready as if I am going out. I think the main difference will be slippers rather than heels!!. Comfort is key when we are at home I realise that, so not everything here will be appropriate. I have found some great occasion wear…

Summer loving …

Hello I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine, it certainly makes these strange times easier doesn’t it Yesterday I was talking to a gorgeous resort wear brand about their new SS20 collection so I thought I would put a post together of a few of my favourite small brands that I have worn over the years. I really wanted to include jewellery because I think this is a big part of resort wear and certainly when I am away I stack up the bracelets! I will leave that for another time. If you follow me on Instagram you may be aware of most of these fab brands but I always think its great to document them on the blog too. All links will take… View Post

Happy home additions ..

Hello.. This week I thought I would talk about a few really simple things that are making me happy during this crazy time. As you probably know we built our house about 6 years ago and had recently decided to look for our next big project. I started saving ideas and pictures into ‘House Files” and was getting really excited to take on the Project Manager role again! I do love a hard hat!! Like so many things this is currently on hold so we have been looking to change a few things around the house. Jamie and I have fairly similar tastes when it comes to Interiors but he really has no interest at all in a cushion or a candle!! This week… View Post

Lockdown life!

***This blog post contains some affiliate links*** Hello…. It has been a while. Where shall I begin?… Everything seems so very surreal at the moment and I have to admit I have woken up a few mornings wondering if this all a dream. Like everyone we have our good and bad days here. Jamie has been working from home for about six weeks now and tends to use the whole house as his office! Very much someone that walks around whilst on the phone… It has been so lovely having him here. The kids love his cooking (far far better than me) and he does help around the house most days.. The children as you know are teenagers so things are very different on… View Post

ICON at The O2

  * This is a sponsored post in collaboration with ICON at The O2 *   ICON Outlet Last week I visited ICON Outlet at The O2. Somewhere that I have to be honest I was completely unaware of and so very intrigued to find out more especially if it involved shopping! As I am sure you know The O2 opened in 2007 and is the worlds most popular music and leisure venue. It hosts over 200 events a year and its hidden gem is the premium outlet  ICON. With over 60 brands offering up to 70% off retail prices including Nike, Adidas, Ted Baker, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and many more it is just 15 minutes from central London. It actually only took me… View Post

Time for coats!

  * This blog post contains affiliate links * Hello! Well it has been a while….I have no excuse other than I think lost my mojo over the past few weeks. Instagram can be such an amazing place for small and new businesses, for making friends, raising your profile, earning income and doing what you love. It can also play with your mind…. Self doubt can creep in… Are you good enough? Why are some people getting 1000 likes for not great content? How is it that my account isn’t growing? (I know I am a bit of a loner so that doesn’t help) I personally need to take a step back every so often so reassess and realise that all of the above doesn’t… View Post

*** This is sponsored post written in collaboration Annie Haak Designs ****   Hi everyone. I hope you are enjoying this gorgeous weather! We have been on ‘slow mo’ here today which actually has been rather lovely! When Annie Haak Designs approached me I instantly knew that their products were both affordable and very much my style! If you follow my stories you would have seen that I have been trying have a bit of a clear out of my dressing room and wardrobes that I seem to have taken over around the house. It is not easy for me mainly because I always think that I will love something again or… View Post

One of our favourite places…

So I am finally sitting down with a glass of rose to write about our stay in Marrakesh. I remember last year I had intended to write about our trip but the school easter holidays always fall straight afterwards so its not as easy to find the time  to sit and write. I’m not trying to be a ‘Travel Blogger’ I will leave that to the experts but it is a place I love and I thought it might be nice to put a few thoughts on the blog. Jamie and I always try to get away for a few days on our own around my birthday at the end of March. We have managed to do this pretty much every year for… View Post
