Happy home additions ..

Hello.. This week I thought I would talk about a few really simple things that are making me happy during this crazy time. As you probably know we built our house about 6 years ago and had recently decided to look for our next big project. I started saving ideas and pictures into ‘House Files” and was getting really excited to take on the Project Manager role again! I do love a hard hat!! Like so many things this is currently on hold so we have been looking to change a few things around the house. Jamie and I have fairly similar tastes when it comes to Interiors but he really has no interest at all in a cushion or a candle!! This week…

Lockdown life!

***This blog post contains some affiliate links*** Hello…. It has been a while. Where shall I begin?… Everything seems so very surreal at the moment and I have to admit I have woken up a few mornings wondering if this all a dream. Like everyone we have our good and bad days here. Jamie has been working from home for about six weeks now and tends to use the whole house as his office! Very much someone that walks around whilst on the phone… It has been so lovely having him here. The kids love his cooking (far far better than me) and he does help around the house most days.. The children as you know are teenagers so things are very different on… View Post

*** This is sponsored post written in collaboration Annie Haak Designs ****   Hi everyone. I hope you are enjoying this gorgeous weather! We have been on ‘slow mo’ here today which actually has been rather lovely! As you hopefully know by now I only ever collaborate with brands that I really feel are a good fit for me and you too. When Annie Haak Designs approached me I instantly knew that their products were both affordable and very much my style! ••• This post is written in collaboration with Beach Cafe ••• •• Affiliate links have been used ••   It is the Easter holidays already? I actually can’t believe how quickly time is flying by this year. I am sure if you are on here reading this you aren’t currently away in an exotic location or zooming down the ski slopes but possibly trying to plan your days with the kids like me! Even now they are teenagers it is still a challenge.. As you probably know Jamie and I sneaked off for a few days for my birthday recently. Back to our beloved Marrakesh and a few days of relaxing, reconnecting and generally doing not much at all. It is a lovely time of… View Post
Just do it!…….

Just do it!…….

A slightly more personal post today but something I guess I really wanted to share. A couple of weeks ago I was approached by the Editor of a Regional newspaper  The Times and So Magazines. I was asked if I would be involved in their relaunch issue where they were to feature various local bloggers and businesses. My first thought was wow, why me? There are other local people going great guns on Instagram and my blog has only really been live for a year. I then thought about some of the negativity I had received a while back from local people and it made it all the more scary. Why would I put myself out there? On Instagram it feels different, a local paper… View Post

Pink to make the boys wink!

Hello! Happy New Year! My first blog post of the year… I have lots of ideas and am currently working on a Travel post after our recent trip to Thailand. I had such a lovely response after I did a write up on Marrakesh I will now make it a regular thing. I think the hardest thing for me are the photograph’s. While we were away at Christmas I actually made a conscious effort not to involve the family in my little Part time role that is the blog and Instagram! We just needed that family time without chasing pictures!  I would really love to mix things up and keep things interesting so you may see some random blogs from time to time on here! … View Post

Suited and booted

Hello, how are we all? The sun is still shining here and I feel like I am on a bit of a blogging roll! Lots of exciting ideas coming up to share with you……Can I mention Autumn Fashion?? I normally ease into the new  season rather slowly. I think really because I am careful with what I buy nowadays and don’t want to peak too soon with the latest thing! A few days after returning from our holiday and still very much in Summer mode Alice and I had a mooch around London at the new AW18 offerings… One thing I have always loved wearing is a suit. Maybe from my days as a Headhunter in the City where especially during the 90’s suits were… View Post
Suns out, legs out!

Suns out, legs out!

You may have seen that on Sunday that we went along to the Love Supreme Festival at Glynde Place. Jamie loves Jazz and we try to go along every year if we can. We even went just as he started his chemotherapy three years ago, he is that dedicated! ..Love Supreme is over three days always at this time of the year. The atmosphere is fantastic and there is so much on offer for everyone. We did spend quite a bit of time in the Champagne and Oyster bus! A beautiful converted bus with tables upstairs that gives you an amazing view of the stage! Very handy…We always stay in Lewes at a lovely hotel called Pelham House but thousands of people camp… View Post
My summer edit with Great Plains

My summer edit with Great Plains

I was recently asked to put together my choices from the new SS18 collection at Great Plains What I really love about this 25 year old brand is the combination of both high quality pieces to create a capsule wardrobe and contemporary fashion influenced designs. I guess what I mean is that it is classic with a twist! With an International online presence they are continuing to grow from strength to strength. I have chosen pieces that I felt would work with clothes that I already have as well as adding something slightly different. The colour palette more often is muted but this season with added yellows and bright rust oranges.     Betsy Broderie Midi Dress   My first choice was this bright red/orange broderie… View Post
