After last week’s snow and with a tiny hint of Spring in the air this week I am going full on Spring/Summer wardrobe planning…!! No not really…. unfortunately I am not that organised! I am however thinking dresses and ankle boots. A look I love and always embrace every year. I adore my Chloe Susanna boots that my husband bought me for Christmas but I am also a huge fan of  the Western style. Yesterday I found some flared jeans at the back of my ridiculously untidy wardrobe and wore them with my new Sosander boots. As you can probably tell by my Instagram feed recently I am having a ‘red and pink’ moment. Like with many things I am sure I will get bored and move onto some other craze but in the meantime my love continues. It is  an odd one because people say that to wear bold colours together or an outfit of all one colour you need to be very self confident. I am actually far from confident but as soon as I reached the ripe old age of forty decided that I will wear what I love.     Back in December I was invited to afternoon tea and a preview of the new collection by Hansine at the Dover Street Townhouse in Soho. I have been asked a few times now to do a blog post with some ideas for girls. I have to say that I am really struggling this year with what to buy Alice. Maybe it is slightly easier with older teen girls, I’m not sure…I think it doesn’t help that I am not remotely organised and keep telling myself that I have bags of time! I literally have been inundated with Black Friday deals and emails. I love shopping but I’m not sure why this always makes me feel slightly stressed and panicky. Maybe its the ‘FOMO” fear of missing out thing or just when you are not organised with a list of presents to buy, looking for something very specific or have hours to sit at your computer!…It can drive you nuts! Less flashy than classic yellow, mustard yellow definitely adds a splash of colour, but is closer to a neutral, making it more versatile and chic. Bold, confident, and happy, mustard yellow is definitely one of the colours of the season.
